well i'de use them. And trust them.
but i came up with something better.
and here it is. and it is rated at 14000 lbs...
goes on to the rrc without drilling any holes and stays there securely.
and sure is strong enough to tow the rrc out of trouble...
Dude, you are nuts. An exhaust clamp? Come on man, you are not right!!! Rated @ 14,000lbs? of what? Are you telling me you can hoist TWO Land Rover Discoverys up via a crane with that POS? Would you stand under them?
Try a simple test here....Hook up your strap to that POS and tie it off to a tree. Start pulling. I bet you do not get to 1500rpm's before your exhaust clamp fails..
It's a u-bolt with a piece of tin foil. A grade 2 u-bolt at that. And what are you going to hook to that POS? There is not even enough room to get a winch hook in there. And, if your stuck in the mud, how the hell are you going to get in there to attach your strap or winch?
You have got to be just joking.....No one in there right mind would EVER try this. For the amount of money you have spent on this junk, you could have purchased a nice receiver shackel mount by now.
