hey guys, i just got home(4am) from pulling 2 buddies out of some nasty mud. One was a 2005 f-150 4x4(w/ stock tires). He was stuck about 1.5ft. in mud with his front axle sitting on a mudbank. he was facing forward so i turned around, hooked up a heavyduty chain, and slowly tightened it. Didn't budge. So then i locked the center diff, put it in low and pulled him right out. No hesitation from the rover, just lots of mud spewing everywhere. The second was in the same area, but off a different trail branch. It was about 1/4 of a mile away stuck in 3-4 ft of very watery mud. Seeing the conditions from the previous truck i left it in CDL-Lo(my CDL-hi won't work 90% of the time and if anyone has any idea's on why, let me know). The next rig was a jeep wrangler sahara edition, lifted on 31" wrangler M/T's. He was facing me this time, but with no decent front recovery points, I turned around again. His front axle was also stuck on a mudbank and none of his tires were getting traction(he had no diff locks or anything). This guy had been stuck there for 2 days. So i hooked the chain up, and started pulling. Nothing, again. So i tried again. Nothing. Then I put it in reverse, and got alittle momentum going and yanked him right outta there. That sucker flew out like a bat out of hell. So, to end the story, I made an easy 40 bucks, had a few brews w/ some buddies, and felt accomplished having pulled out an f-150 and a wrangler.
