Hello,

I’m the proud driver from a Discovery 300tdi (manual, from may 1998).
I’ve bought on E-bay all the parts to change both sunroofs from manual in electric driven (electric motors, sunroof ECU, all switches for front end rear ceiling console, and all the wiring looms with the connectors).
But just one question : where must the live and the ground (both from the sunroof ECU) be connected ? In the fusebox is a fuse 30 Amp for the feed for electric sunroofs, but where just must I there connect the lead from the ECU ?
Grounding is perhaps very simply : just look for a grounding pin to the body ?
And why must the 3rd lead from this ECU (very thiny wire in white/rose) be connected to the windows ECU (somewhere in the large connector) ?
I’ve got the exact wiring diagrams for this job, but the practice is quite different !

Circuit component Hardware programmer Audio equipment Computer hardware Auto part
Wood Cable Electrical wiring Wire Fashion accessory
Gadget Electrical wiring Electricity Cable Electronic engineering

Can someone give me a good practical guide ?
you very much !

Hello,

I will make my question another way : where just do I find the wire at the downward side of the 30 Amp fuse (in the satellite fuse-box) for the electric sunroofs ?
So I can connect the live from the sunroof-ECU to this end.

Greetings,
PierroDisco
