:) Hi All,

I thought I ought to follow up from a previuos post.

My D1 V8 CARBS 89/90 - was suffering a real problems at low revs - felt more like a miss-firing V5!

Sorted!

Underneath all the air filter housing/breather pipes ...etc is the tiniest little tube coming out of the rear of the inlet manifold - it feeds the vacuum reservoir for heater vent flaps...etc.

the rubber tube had split and fallen off - leaving the tiny tube sucking fresh air straight into the inlet! Cut the rubber tube clean and pushed it back on - super smooth V8 again - take it off and back to "ThunderClap V5"

I know one of you said they had a Rangie that has done this for years - hope this helps...
