Just bought a used '06 LR3 and put some 285/65R18 tires on it with the 2.5" air lift extensions. Looks great but the passenger tire scrubs when I turn the wheel to the right. I checked under the wheel well and there is a bolt on frame extension extending out from the frame rail behind the tire. 3 bolts hold this on and I don't see a real purpose for this frame piece. Can someone tell me what it is for and if there is a problem if I take it off?

Double check before taking it off. Put up some pics of it and what the stance looks like with the 285's. You can also get wheel spacers.
