Has anyone had an issue with their e brake trying to engage while you are moving? It creates a severe vibration in the rear of the vehicle and lasts from 15-20 seconds then dissipates. It is sporadic but happens especially after the e brake has been engaged and released.

Yes I did, it happened on the way of the dealer I bought it from. The replaced the parking brake assemble and rotors and pads since I kinda drove it like that for 15 minutes on the freeway.

Does the emergency brake light actually come on? Mine was doing similar nois/vibration from back right. Scorched the rotors. Ended up being my wheel bearing. Easy check jack up car and see if wheel wiggled excessively

No, I pushed the button to release the parking brake - light went off, however parking brake was still engaged followed by shaking of the rear wheels about 5 minutes later.

Mine did that while on the highway. Upon disassembly I found the brake material had actually separated from the backing plate. New shoes and e-brake bed-in procedure and it was good as new.

Its scary when the vehicle starts violently shaking at 75 mph...not a good feeling at all.
