SWB & LWB in US

We have both the Long Wheel Base (LWB) and Short Wheel Base (SWB) Range Rover Classic's in the US. You can tell the difference by looking at the rear door panel and how long that is. I read somewhere that the naming convention in the UK was just different, but the wheelbase options were essentially the same for the Classic. Is that true?

UK spec were called SE (special edition) and LSE (long wheelbase special edition)
