Have 2004 Disco II HSE ...I am currently in Mexico with a lot of rain and flooding. The M and S lights came on and went into limp mode.
Local mechanic did a scan and got the following: "P0705 Transmission Range Sensor out of Self-Test Range or Shorted to Ground" I read about the XYZ switch getting wet as a possibility......can it be removed cleaned and sealed or do I have to order new one......any other possibilities?

Thanks

Since nobody responded to the thread I took it upon myself to repair the XYZ switch myself. First go around was not successful but with the help of a local auto electrician, who recommended putting some contact silicone inside the unit, it has worked perfectly for more than 10 days in some very rainy weather.
