So I got my 1st Disco last week....I TOTALLY LOVE IT! What an Awesome vehicle. I purchased a 99 Series II , Taupe color with Graey leather. The car is in AWESOME shape......68,000 miles. I got a great price for the car at 10,700.00 and then I added an extended warranty for 2,200.00 Overall still a great price.......I do have a few issues with the car however.
After running the car for a while, I smell antifreeze!
Also, there are 3brake light indicators on, all point to the AntiLock Brakes. The car was just serviced for brakes 8,000 miles ago, so I have no idea what the problem could possibly be. God knows that I am now tapped out of funds and need a good, low cost mechanic in the Chicago area. Since I have the warranty, I am not too concerned, but ya never know what is wrong with it. Any suggestions people?

I Just Went Through Hell With My 5 Month Old Rover. I Also Purchased A 99 With About 68k Mi. On It. The Body Is In Great Shape And Now Runs Like A Dream. I Expierienced The Same Smell When I First Purchased Mine But Didn't Really Pay Attention To It.... Big Mistake! It Got To The Point That Antifreeze Was Literally Spraying Out!!! I Took It To A Land Rover Dealership And The Damage Was Going To Be 1300 For An Intake Manifold Gasket. Luckily I'm Mechanically Inclined So I Did The Job My Self .. In The Cold..with No Garage!!!! It Was Hell!! It So Uncomfortable To Work On Such A High Truck But I Finally Got It Done For About 300. I Changed The Valve Cover Gaskets, The Plug Wires And The Intake Gasket. When I Was Ready To Fire Her Up, 5 Minutes Later Anti-freeze Spraying Out Again!!!!!!!!!! When I Finally Realized Where It Was Coming From, I Almost Set The Thing On Fire, The Thirteen Hundred Dollar Job Was A Broken Plastic Line That Comes From The Resivoir To The Block!!!! 3 Minutes I Fixed It And Was On My Way!! Check This Before Anything
