I bought my Disco in February with 197k miles.. had no problems whatsoever other than popped fuses & replacing the windshield wiper motor until May.. then my fuel pump went out. replaced it, & it went out again one day later (it was just a faulty pump). replaced it again, no problems for three days, then as I'm driving it to get the oil changed.. trouble hits.

I was coasting at 50mph, when the Disco started revving up to 5,000/6,000 rpms. I took my foot off the accelerator to turn onto a side road & pull over, & the car wouldn't accelerate again.. just revved up to high rpms. got it pushed off the road, & noticed it was leaking transmission fluid from the front of the engine. I'm guessing its a tube or connection gone bad, but I can't find any information to support this.

I need help! I don't want a new car, I want my Disco to get off her menstrual cycle already.

the cooler line is actually what he said it was. I guess the question would be, are OEM replacements our only option, or is there something that could be done with a part that an auto parts store in the vicinity would carry? I'm so over being without a vehicle.

hubby is home. there's a split in the rubber part of the line directly above the oil filter that goes into the passenger side of the cooler. is there any way to fix that without replacing the entire line?

Mike, a phone call so you guys can talk might be in order.
