Hello all, Thanks for all your gracious replies.
I posted recently about the Navigation issue.

I just bought an 05 LR3 HSE AWESOME!! I love the car to death.

Anyway, it turns out that the reason two of the nav buttons on screen (2 of the 4 buttons) disappear is that it is a safety feature. Once the car travles above approx. 5 mph or so, the input option for changing or inputing new coordinate directions is disabled so the driver pays attention to the road and not the monitor.

My question is:
Does anyone know how to disable this feature, so that My wife can input and find directions while we drive, instead of stopping in the middle of "fresh meat" gang town to input some new directions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is that it is connected to the GPS unit in the Nav unit. So when the GPS senses you are going over 5 MPH it tells the NAV unit to diable those buttons. Sounds like a reprogramming job is in order.. and not an easy one I would think, you could muck up the whole system...

It could be linked to the shifter.

I know my dash tv is supposed to be connected to my auto shifter so I cant watch tv up front while I drive, but the guy at circuit city didnt hook it up. Now when my bros are watching pornos in back on the way to vegas, I can still see Jenna Jameson up front as well.

How can you watch porno and drive at the same time? I would have run off the road by now.
