Hello, I've replaced the Head Gaskets on my D2 and noticed that coolant is leaking from the head gaskets. Note I have not started the engine yet. I believe I did not torque the bolts correctly. I'm planing on replacing the head bolts with ARP Studs. My question is will I need to buy a new head gasket kit when I replace the head bolts?

Did you have the head pressure tested and resurface?
I believe you can install new studs without changing the head gaskets, but if you are concerned it is only $70 more for new gaskets.

I am not sure about this engine, but some do not work well with ARP studs. For example, the 2.9L "Cologne" engine found in old Ford Bronco II's and Rangers had head bolts that were designed to "stretch." When ARP bolts were installed, damage would occur.

You might want to read up on ARP studs cause you have all your information wrong.
They are designed to work in place of standard and stretch type head bolts.
