I recently sidestepped our family's need for a new kitchen, furthering the childrens' schooling, etc. and purchased a '66 SIIa 109 in excellent condition. That said, I would appreciate any suggestions regarding what to have to maintain it, as well as recommendations for parts suppliers (the left front lamp has gone out). The closer to the mid-Atlantic area the better but web-sites will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Do you have locking hubs?

Do you have locking front hubs? If so, you should be sure to engage the hubs about 20 miles out of every 500 miles.

The reason you want to do this is so that the differential gears will move all that axle oil around and keep all the associated seals from drying out. Land Rover designed it to be used that way, (or so I am told) :dunno:

Another good resource for questions is the BBS on Rovers North, it has a good search function.

Congrats on buying the Rover! Post pics please!
