Hello all, I just purchased a fully loaded 2009 Range Rover with 44k miles on it. What a great looking car! I'm excited to see what it can do on the road up to tahoe in the snow as well as cruise around in style. I look forward to meeting folks on here and learning more.

Good new is that the dealer I bought it from proactively just replaced all the controller bushings before he gave me the keys. There is no visible damage to the car whatsoever, a very clean carfax with regular maintenance, and a clean title.

Also, I am getting a 3rd party warranty.
Any recommendations? Delta quoted me at 2k, 5 yr 100k miles, with no deductible. Seems pretty cheap.

Thanks,

Chuck:grin:grin

Congrats! That's a great year for the Full size RR.
A 3rd party warrantee is only good if they offer a deductible that it's under $75.00. and it covers the air suspension system, AC, sensors, GPS etc. If it's a 4.4 V8 as long as it's serviced on time it should have no issues. The 4.4 engine is bullet proof. Same engine as in the LR3 V8 and on the RRS. If it's a supercharge 4.2 it's requires a bit more up-keep. Get a code reader in case you get a check engine light and you want to know how urgent of an issue it is. Also always use premium fuel. Any good indy LR mechanic can fix it.

Second on that. You gotta read the fine print. It'll eat you out of house and home if it doesn't cover the whole truck. I'd trade low deductible for coverage.

Maintenance is everything. For God's sake, don't get it done at Walmart or quickie lube. Find a good independent import specialist.

A AAA Platinum membership is a good investment as well. It's not a Camry. When it gives you trouble, don't expect Auto Zone to have it. And the dealers stock very little. Expect parts to take a week to get from the UK, unless it's common stuff.
