I have a '97 Disco XD and i'm getting new plugs and wires. I'm looking to buy a set of magnecor 8.5mm wires. I'm a little confused on the sizes of the wires. I don't have a lot of electronics going, besides what normally turns on, radio etc. Would it be overkill to get the 8.5mm wire?

Does not matter what electronics you have, the wires only move the electric current from coils to plugs. 8.5 magnecor wires are good wires. Your radio and other electrical gadgets are on their own supply lines.

If you aren't paying a huge premium for the wires, then fine. I bought a good set from NAPA - they were inexpensive.
