I don't know these years in particular, but here is some stuff I've learned over the years with Land Rovers:

Some cars are very reliable, some are just crap and cost lots of money and headache to keep running, and some are just average. I'm lucky, my two have been very reliable.

Even if you get a good car, they suck gas and go through tires & brakes relatively quickly. Depending on where you live, taxes may be high also.

Don't get me wrong, I love my RRs. But make sure you get a good car, get the car inspected by the LR dealer, look at the service history, and get a warranty if you can.

FWIW, I have a friend who is an expert on all things RR and his advice is to buy 2008 or later as they are more reliable than 2007 and before.
