I'm new to this site. I'm also a new land rover owner. I recently bought a '99 Discovery I SD. I love the vehicle, but I've been having a few problems. The check engine light keeps coming on. I have also noticed that the temp gauge shoots up to 3/4 from 1/4 when I've been driving more than about 30 minutes with the a/c on. I also notice a slight gas odor when I've been driving for a while. I live in a very hot area of CA, and I don't know if that has anything to do with it...I'm not very good with cars. If anyone can help me with that, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
