Good day y'all,

started up my disco today was 22below zero out side and oil light came on for 3-5 secs what would cause it to do that?? all fluid are good

its a 95 disco mobil 1 5w 30

Could be that the filter you're using doesn't have a (working) anti-backflow valve, and even Mobil 1 is pretty thick at that temperature, takes a little time to pump up if the oil has run back out of the filter.

22 below zero? gah thats cold...i wouldnt let it bother you, oil is pretty thick at that temp.

not to worry at all as long it goes off, had the same thing happen couple of times to me when left the truck outside overnight with temp at -40 C. word of caution though, get a block heater!!! and let her warm up nice before you leave.
