2004 disco - 105,000 miles.
Trying to determine if I have a head gasket issue. Have a strong smell of exhaust from coolant. Did a compression test and here are the numbers.
1 - 210
2 - 180
3 - 160
4 - 180
5 - 155
6 - 155
7 - 155
8 - 165
My understanding is high compression could be carbon build up which would explain #1 , but what about 2 and 4. The rest look fairly normal. Should I assume based on this I don't have a head gasket issue? Compression test was done on cold engine.
