Hi everyone:
I'm looking to buy a set of 18" wheels to replace my current 16"'s,but I was wondering if I could fit larger 18" tires at the back and original-equipment size 18's at front, in order to achieve the lowered front/raised back stance of newer BMW M SUV's and AMG Mercedes ones? My concern is that if it will affect the "traction control"/abs and/or diff. electronics by running two different size tires on the truck?
The whole idea is to make a sportier-look version of the Disco ll just as the BMW M's and Mercedes AMG's.I will also see if I can get a custom-built dual exit exhaust.

What are you thinking?? You will leave one or both of your diffs. scattered all over the road within the first 100 feet or so.
Not a good idea, I take it you don't go off the road much, only because 16' wheels are the preference for most only because of the selection and different sizes. Why don't you consider putting a spacer under your rear springs to raise the back and then you could use either 16 or 18 inch wheels.
Be careful making this modification so you don't damage your truck for the sake of lucks.

You're absolutely correct,I don't do off-road with my Disco.I just like to ride in it ,sometimes at a bit high speed.I will stick to the stock-size tires then.Still will figure it out on how to put a double exit exhaust.

Hmm, you could always disconnect the front or rear propshaft...but yeah, spacers are prolly a better idea.
