It never gets old though
I keep on telling these guys to get an aftermarket temperature gauge for the D2. The single most important thing that you can do as owner of this model truck is see to it that operating temp is around 200 degrees, and keep it there. If you can buy brand spanking new items or do the inline thermostat setup and get temps below 200, even better. The factory gauge isn't going to climb even a centimeter if the motor is operating at 230 degrees all day, every day then all of this **** that the blog discusses begins to materialize.

The single greatest gift that I can present to all of you D2 guys. Do this and install an aftermarket temperature gauge. Put an oil pressure gauge on there too, while you were at it.

Greenbacks and loonies appreciated too.
......
I believed both as being prerequisite to owning a Discovery. Then again, most don't know what they have gotten themselves in to.
