I'm looking to speak with a pro on the phone if possible. My story is quite long.
In short, new hg's, water pump, viscous fan, stat, manifold gaskets,

Overheats under a load. Radiator has been cleaned by a rad shop. Heater core has been back flushed. Block has been back flushed.

Temps fine at idle, drive it a mile and reaches 212 before I shut it off.
Heads not cracked, liners looked even. Didn't do a pressure test on block. Did a block test on coolant, tested fine. Serpentine belt on correctly.

Sincerely,
Puzzled...

Its supposed to be 212 with a factory thermo. Don't shut it off like that. If it does good at idle especially...stop on the side of the road and let it idle to cool down or stabilize. When its shut off quick the temperature will still rise for a few mins. Better off with coolant flowing through it. I would almost say the coolant isn't flowing yet on your new system though and suspect the thermo didn't open yet.
