Been reading a lot about the cause of P2098 code. I was able to reset the code and notice the following behavior.

1) After I started the engine and drove a short while (before fully warm up), it appears
2) Does not light up when engine is warm and I am driving on highway or local
3) Now with the engine warm. When I restart the motor, it lights up again.

What I do not know, is whether the code only pops up during open loop or not. I have not been able to hook up to diff monitoring tool to check...

Other ideas how to do the diagnostic w/o LR fancy scanner?

Update - light appears when engine change from open to close loop for the very first time, when the vehicle is in motion. If I sit and idle the truck (from open to close loop) the light would not turn on. When I restart the engine after it is warmed up, I'll get the light as soon as it goes into closed loop (with the truck in motion.)

I was able to monitor the pre-cat O2 sensors and they appear reading normally.

I was monitoring the long term and short term fuel trims. The long term fuel trim at bank 2 is definitely not matching bank 1. The short term fuel trims on both banks appear ok.
