hey guys, it's appstatedisco. I recently took my car to the off-campus car lot where I park, and when I got out I noticed my paint was flaking off on my hood. When I bought it, there was maybe a 3" x 3" area of paint that missing, minor chips all in a rash like area. It has grown a small bit, but I also noticed some other chips with a laminate-like film peeling off the chips. Is there anything I can do to prevent this(I waxed it with high-quality wax about 2 weeks ago) and is rust going to be a concern?(note: The Primer, maybe the metal is showing.) Also, should I think about getting the whole thing repainted?(it is about 10 years old.)

Have the hood removed, cleaned and re-painted

Sounds like you have a repainted hood.

Have it repainted for 250 american and be done with it.
