Hi everyone,

I've just purchased a 110 with a Perkins 2.5 Diesel, which was fitted to replace the V8 3.5. The engine nr is 20256320.

  • How normal is this conversion?
    Is this a good engine?
Does anyone have any particular horror stories for this engine?!

Thanks in advance!

Guy

I don't have any experience with the perkins engine in a Rover but I've seen them in other vehicles.... other than noisy they are durable engines.

perkins conversions are quite popular on landrovers, usually with higher capacity engines than this, normal favourite is the 3.8

Never really heard anything bad about them, apart from their enourmous weight and noise!
