Ok a little help here, been searching for the way to remove this factory Pioneer from my 95 softdash. It has one hole in each side but the holes only go in about 5-10mm. I have removed a lot of radios and know that the tool needs to go farther than that. What am I missing here?

Put on my bifocals, took a good look in the holes, 2mm allen, out it came.

Glad you got it out, and I've used an Allen wrench numerous time to remove mine as well, but just for reference the correct tool is actually 5 sided, so not actually an allen.
