I'm looking for a place that sells the little black plastic latch/clip that keeps the fuel door closed on my '03 Disco. I had to get one replaced at the dealer under warranty but would like to have a few for the next time the wife breaks one. The dealer is 60 miles away and they wanted US $8.50 each  . I figured they would be, at best, a couple bucks but $8.50! A guy at the dealer told me to go online and search for it and I would find it for under half of what they want. I searched but can not find. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

How does she manages to break it? Or does she works for Land Rover? :D

Your guess is as good as mine :dunno: . Honestly, I love her but if it can be broken or if it can be hit, she'll do it. Thank God she is afraid to drive my rig (Big Blue Dodge diesel dually 6-shooter) or I'd have to tell her I didn't trust her with it.

Velcro

I just went to the fabric store and got little self-adhesive velcro dots. It was probably a couple of $. (It's really hard to break velcro)

If I understand the original poster, he was upset he had to pay $8.50 for a part? Hell, I'd galdly pay 8.50 for a part of my land rover... makes the big purchases seem like a good deal....

that's a great picture of the clip for the fuel door. Now if someone has a oicture of how the damn thing goes on i'll have the problem fixed. I have the clip sitting in the passenger coffee cup holder but can't figure out how it attaches to the fuel dorr

Slide the tab through the elongated hole, gently (they're easy to break) bend the tab so the tab fits through the elongated hole, rotate the entire thing so that the round split part will fit into the round hole on the door, push it into place and presto!

I typically Goodwill them to my clients.
