Hello All,

Was looking to see if anyone has used a qwik valve oil drain plug on their cars.
Any pros or cons? Seems like a quick solution to releasing oil from the car without a tool.

I have had one on all my Chevy Duramax engines. We called them fumoto valves.

Look easy to break off when off-roading and loose all your oil and trash the threads so you can't even fit a drain plug.

I thought of this when installing on my duramax, good thing is on the duramax the drain plug is on the back of the pan, and never was an issue. I was off road much of the time and ground clearance was much greater.
My Disco will not see off road use much, and should not be an issue.
It really makes oil change a breeze.
Also, they came on several pieces of equipment that were in our Equipment Rental Fleet.
