Likely a fair shop charge. I did mine and it took a little over 2 hours,
but I do this stuff for a living

I put mine back in myself and watched someone else take it out. Took him less than an hour to take it out and me probably around 2 to put it back in. Would have been less had I paid more attention to him taking it out.

I replaced mine in about 1 hour. Helps to remove the battery box and filter box to get easier access. Some people said they don't have to remove the front grille, but I have no idea how they got the bolts out without it (and that only takes 5 mins).

Do not disconnect the oil or transmission cooler lines... No need.

I was going to chime in and say that it sounded right - took me almost 3 hours.

I know you're finished, but I just had to put in a good word for the warm weather thermostat. I put this in after my radiator repair and noticed a 10 degree temp drop - which was awesome!
