Thinking of building a new rear bumper for my 94 Disco. Thing is, what do I do about the blinkity blinks (indicator lights) has anyone incorporated them into the top light cluster? or should I try to build them into the new bumper.... Any info would be appreciated.

In Australia the lights in the bumper and the ones up on the quater panel both work as standard on the 94 - 98 disco series 1 so getting yours working shouldn,t be a problem. I have often thought of building my own bumper and incorporating storage in it to carry tow shackles wire rope and maybe a high lift jack, but have never got round to it. All the best with the project. :drink1:

I would incorperate them in the top light cluster and in the bumper.
What are you making it out of?
Thinking about 3/16" or 1/4" mild steel, I reversed into a pole and was not too impressed with the stock bumper. I got some mega 15,000 lb shackles from cheaperthandirt.com, (they call them clevis pins) and will be looking for something sturdy to mount them on. BTW, if anyone out there is looking to buy those shackles, the pin is just over 1" in diameter, you will need to get or make a mount suitable, they will not fit in a 1" mount. Will post some piccys when the job is done.

Just a thought that could save you some work, TJM in Australia, make a steel rear bumper that's exactly the same profile as the plastic/metal originals. I don't know if they have any outlets in the states, nor how much they cost. Worth looking at.
