i am trying to remove the rear pinion to change the oil seal but it do not know how the pinion comes off.it looks like it is pressed in unlike the old with the nut.any ideas how to take it off.

Hi,
The bit you are looking at is a centralising boss and it's held in the drive flange with loctite,threaded rod+slide hammer=centraliser removal.Once it's out you will see the nut.

Once you get the centralizing plug out, you may find a bolt, rather than a nut.
