Hi,

Just found this forum. Wife has a 2006 LR3 with about 130K on it. Recently the rear door on the driver's side began to ignore both the FOB and the unlock button on the dash. The little lock lever "twitches" when either is pressed, but doesn't lock or unlock the door. If the FOB is used to lock the car, you can still open this door, but the alarm will go off.

The door locks and unlocks fine manually. All other doors work just fine.

Is this an easy fix or some "completely disassemble the door and trace the wires to the main harness" thing?

Thanks!

Sounds like the door lock actuator may be on its way out. If it's "twitching", then you know it's getting the signal, so I would think the wiring is fine. However, it probably can't muster the strength to actually move the lock. You might get by with disassembling and somehow lubing the actuator, but I would guess it needs to be replaced. Usually involves disassembling the door, and removing the window/window motor.
