Have been getting the normal height only and occasional special programs off warnings since the drive home from purchasing this truck a week or two ago.

Ordered this rebuild kit:
http://www.amazon.com/DISCOVERY-HITACHI-COMPRESSOR-FILTER-REPAIR/dp/B00TFWBLJI

Pulled the compressor and used this kit to service the unit.

Upon re-install, the warnings now pop up almost immediately, and they now blink on the screen (yay!), and I also got the vehicle will raise when system cooled message after I cleared the codes and tried to go to off road height and back down.

Interesting note though, I was getting C1131 as well as C1A20, and now I am only getting C1131.
EDIT: Nope. C1A20 is back as well.

Not really sure what to do now. Going to park the truck for a bit, as I'm nervous the system will fail with my wife driving it and dump it down to the bump stops.

Debating taking it to local indie LR guy. Really don't want to, but I really need the truck to be running correctly, as it is my wife's daily driver.

ughhh.
Love this truck but am seriously questioning what the heck i was thinking buying a land rover... haha

I'm not going to rub salt in the wound by telling you what I think about purchasing an LR3 for a wife's daily driver.

...you need a new compressor. Get the AMK and be happy. Make sure to get the software change that goes with that AMK. You can take it to an indy...maybe get a referral from a message board. I go to the dealer...because I know they won't f*ck it up.

haha yeah, we have other vehicles.
We have a reputable indy Rover specialist in the Nashville area who has tons of experience and test books and all that jazz.
The dealer is less than 5 mins from my house, but I'll skip them for anything other than parts.

I am planning on taking it to him and having an AMK put in there.
It'll be fine I'm sure, although the payment will sting a bit.

;)

What was wrong with the rebuilt Hitachi? If it was OEM, why did it not work?
Well, it was 8 years old first off.
I possibly screwed something up on the rebuild, or it could have been the motor in it that had gone bad.

I really can't say, but when i weighed my options, it made sense to just do a one and done and replace the darn thing with the updated unit.

The cost was a bummer, but hopefully I won't have to worry about it again.

The truck has been running perfectly since the repair.
