Transfer case bearing that connects with the drive shaft has a **** ton of play and is making a hell of a noise. Can we remove just the front drive shaft so the customer can drive it? The customer can't afford the repair right now and needs to go to work.
I don't think that will work, due to the various sensors. Drop me a PM w/contact regarding the transfer case, I know of a used one and can steer you in the right direction.
I think it will work with the rear out but not the front. FYI ....if that's right!? I think you can pull the ebrake a little with the rear out and the drum transbrake on the rear D.S. will hold the rear to engage the front fully. CDL should make either work...temporary but don't drive it too much. Just in a pinch. I'm sure most can tell by looking the front carries most of the torque. The DS is much more solid. Yeah just noticed its on a LR3...it works on a D2
