Hello,

How long does it take to remove the interlock shifter solenoid? What should the labor be? The mechanic is not sure how long it will take and unclear what the estimate should be....

Can anyone explain the steps? It is still stuck in park.

I have the rave manual but don't see it in there.

Its a 1992 RR Classic SWB County.

on my 95lwb it looked to be a big job, it was far easier to install the override button.

No mechanic can legally remove the shift interlock or render it inoperable and charge you money for it. It's a safety feature that cannot be removed by a licenced mechanic. If it has been removed then it may also have repercussions with insurance and resale.

Having said that, it takes about 30-45 min to remove it.
