I was getting ready to remove the sidesteps and came to the support beams for the sidesteps. Is there anything i need to look out for when removing the beams? Also where is the best place to get a set of front mudflaps for the best price in the U.S.?

the only advice I can give is soak everything in PB Blaster or wd40 ... those bolts were a bitch.. Other than that it was pretty straight forward.. from what I remember the running boards slide off, then the mounting bracket came off, then the large bolts came off.. nothing else was being held together.

ya it was the long bolt i was worried about. It looked like it went up into the suspension and i didnt want to mess anything up i wasnt sure about so was just doing some double checking. It didnt look bad, just being cautious.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they just come right off.. I actually didn't take the long bolts off until about 6 months after taking the brackets off.. and I did it the same time I was putting on my rock sliders.. I don't remember for sure if I replaced it with another shorter bolt.. but i'm sure it will be pretty obvious if you need it once you take them off.

thank you all for the help, we did get them off. Though, the bolts do hang down some, no lower than anything else that hangs down, but do stand out, does anyone have any suggestions on where to get some replacement bolts or anything?

home depot? :)

From what i remember, it was basically a normal bolt, and then a long shaft that leaded into another bolt.. so just bring it to home depot to find out the width of it, and get 1" bolts to replace them
