Hey Guys, I am doing a coil pack replacement on my wife's 01 Disco. I have everything out and am ready to reassemble, but I noticed that the replacement coil packs are numbered differently than the Bosch ones I took out. Should I change the plug wires order to match up to the original sequence? or should I just plug them into the coil in the same order? Thanks, lots of great information here.

I'm doing both coils. The only Rover repair shop in Alaska diagnosed the faults and I am changing out both since I had to be in there anyway. I found coil packs from a shop called AIP electronics online; got the magnecors and plugs that were recommended on this forum. Everything is going well on the replacement except for the different numbering on the coils. I'll follow your recommendation and not change the order based on the coil numbers. Thanks

Thanks Mike, the codes were for multiple and random misfires, most notably #8 cylinder. I had the head gasket done at 120K miles, so 10K later I was hoping it wouldn't be the heads again. I did the 3 amigos fix using the write up from the guys in the Virgin Islands and it worked wonders. There was one P1590, but it said rough road signal. I just got finished re-installing everything and no more Service Engine light. Disco runs fine and no more rough idling. Thanks a lot for your assistance and the information posted here.
