I have mixed feelings about ABS so after I got a 1991 Range Rover with ABS light ON, I wasn't concerned.
Now 10 years and 110K miles I decided to investigate ABS light. Tony, you got me thinking about it.
See Haynes manual or http://www.roversnorth.com/RR_ABSfault.pdf for codes. You don't need a reader, the ABS light will flash codes after putting in a test jumper on connector under driver seat.
What I learned, there is no automatic reset on codes, it must be done manually by removing test jumper while ingition switch is ON. It will not reset with ignition off at time of jumper removal even if cause of code is cleared.
After resetting, I was surprised the ABS works fine according to ABS light.
Humm...still learning.
