I've used a silicone oil lubricant on rubber before and it seemed to allow the rubber to remain soft. Any recommendations on products to extend the life of door weather strip seals and even the rubber engine and shock mounts?

Tried Autohaus tire and rubber shine. It works great not that greasy and last longer. it keeps my rubber seals soft and like new always.

Age old remedy was a thin coat of talcum powder. Made it water resistant from swelling and kept it from cracking.

Yep I have tried that product and still works. But there are a lot product that can perform the same, but would last longer.

I knew a guy who swore that rinsing with a mixture of vinegar and water after he washed his car kept all the rubber around the windows pliable. He had a ‘63 Chevy impala with the original weather stripping.
