So i was lucky enough to get a hold of a NAS D90 frame and also a set of defender axles that i was originally going to use on a series 2a.

What I would like to do is this:

a series 2a on the outside, and a defender/modern car on the underside.

So what comes along with all this? Most obvious is, where are the 2 extra inches from 88" and 90" ?

Drive train I assume can be pulled from a disco 1, but will that V8 fit under a series 2a bonnet with that recessed radiator?

I know these are a lot of questions, but truly appreciate the help.

Just as reference, I've restored 2 series IIa's, and owned 3 Disco's

This can be done! the wheel base will not affect the Series body and will actually make it line up perfectly!

The only issue will be the mounting outriggers on the defender are different and you will have to make create your own off of the Series!

In my opinion I would just use the Defender frame and take/cut off all you need and weld it to the Series frame! I did this on a 71 11A and used a 98 D1 for a donor.. sussed it out to be easier that way! ended up running a Chevy V8 power plant though but used all of the V8 axle assemblies F&R with springs a really nice setup.

I then had all of the frame galvanized.

Keep in mind the difference in wheel bases is actually 5 inches. The defender 90 is a 93" wheel base
