On my 95 disco the service engine light came on today at 52710 miles Can I turn it off Or whats the deal I know with check engine you can let me know

The red service engine light is a maintenance reminder. There is a brown relay under the passenger front seat that needs to be reset. Unplug the relay and throw it away. It is not needed. Or you can bring it to your local dealer and have them reset it for you.

This must be an American thing, because the Aussie 95's don't have one.
