I was wondering If i could get some reviews of the usefulness of the SLS suspension remote for raising nad lowering the back of the vehicle. I just got my 99 discovery ii with the SLS but it did not come with the remote. I just got off the phone with the dealer and it's a 90 dollar part with .4 hours of labor. So i'm trying to decide if it's worth it. Thanks!

I think the remote is a waist of money. I also have a 99 with SLS and have never had an occasion where I would need to use it. When I am off the road in 2 to 3 foot boulders and water falls I raise it as needed to keep from tear off my ass end.
The only function of the remote is for loading and unloading of heavy trailers from the hitch.
Hope this helps.

I'd just be using it for loading and unloading trailers. I mean, i've never had a vehicle with this option, so it's hard to know how useful it is. I've never thought about lowering the back of the vehicle because it's never been an option. I always just crank the trailer higher. I suppose it's an option that might be nice, but not necessary.

By the time you buy the remote and pay to have it programed, well lets just say there are alot better ways of spending your money.
So much for my 2 cents worth,
