I am a big believer in 8 mm silicone wires, British Parts of Utah has both the STI and Magnacor wires which are great.
As for plugs, give the E3 #48 a try for good mileage and more low end torque.
When you get ready to install the wires, lets talk and I'll walk you thru what to do.

I've been using Kingsborne wires since the early 80's and like them.
Kingsborne Ignition Spark Plug Wire Sets
$35 for 8mm.
I suggest also getting some of their wire separators. 8mm seem to only sort of stay in the stock separators.
