Just picked up a nice 96 4.0 RR. The only glitches I've found (so far) are:

1. Finally put in the 4 digit code to reset the radio. However, the radio only plays out of the speakers on the passenger side. I tried the L/R fade and when I fade to the left (driver side) there is no sound.

2. When I put the key in the iginition the annoying seat belt warning comes on and then it says "sunroof not set" and for the passenger front window "window not set." I called a LR service here in Chicago and the guy told me to roll the window up and down 3 times to set it. That didn't work. The window does not go all the way up (about 1/4 inch short) and when it gets to the top it makes an ugly rattling sound. I can't even try to reset the sunroof b/c nothing happens when I push the buttons except for a beep and the "sunroof not set" message.

Any suggestions on whats wrong or where to start on either problem would be appreciated?

Worth checking the cables from the back of the radio unit. Rangerovers.net has some good pages on their radio servicing area which show how to open up the center console (look for the 'backlight replace' page IIRC). Mine dropped in to this state on an IA-PA drive, cause was simply that a couple of the cables had dropped out of the rear of the dash unit. Could of course be just about anything in the line, including the in-door amps. If you get nothing, including no white noise that increases with volume setting, then chances are that it's a connection issue with a bit of luck.
