Hi all. I've been on here often but never needed to post as there is a wealth of information. But this time is different.

I have a 2000 D2 135000miles. Recent work done (two months ago):
Purge valve
Front O2's
MAF

Here's the problem:
Stalled out 4 times yesterday in two "events". First time stalled 5-8 minutes after start up on a mild hill. Radio was up so I couldn't hear any sounds. Started up after 15-20 hard cranks. Stalled about 2 minutes after I got her going again.

Second "event" was on the way home. Stalled on another mild hill, more of a bump, after slowing to a stop and accelerating. Radio was off. It died down like it was out of fuel. Sort of a choking out. Started again in 10-20 hard cranks with battery almost drained. Made it home and parked. Restarted the vehicle and had a really rough idle.

I'm at a lose as to what the issue is. I drove it in this morning after letting her warm up. No stalling this time. Had a gauge hooked up to monitor temp, rpms, etc. She stayed steady in the hour of city driving with temp static at 194 and rpms at idle around 675.

I am ordering a CPS, and new wires. 8mm kingsbourne. I will also be re leaning the MAF, IACV, and throttle body. I want to test for vacuum leaks. Any tricks? I was going to just do the "spray it down with throttle body cleaner and listen" method.

Any ideas about this dieing truck would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Fuel pump! Just took my Evoque in with a P2187 code which says system too lean at idle bank 1. Service just called and said it is the low pressure fuel pump!

Turns out it was the CKPS. At least I think. I pulled it out (without dropping the exhaust) and the case was cracked straight through. Replaced it, no stalling. Smoother idle. But now I'm popping more codes.

So the troubles are sort of back. She was running good for a week and then stalled pulling out of a parking spot. Went into R, braked to a full stop and when I went to put it in D, she just shut off.

New codes:
0455
1414/1417
0154
0134

Any ideas?

Well I'm just going to use this as a diary so when I actually solve the issue, people can use my experiences.

Current issues:
Have recreated stalling "events" 4-5 times by warming the engine up to operating temp. and turning the vehicle off. After a minute or two, I crank the engine and put it into gear. Reverse or drive will stall it if the engine hasn't settled down to normal idle speed yet.

Check cps.

It located driver,s side underneight exhaust manifold. The cap is held on by two 8 mm nuts, the the sensor is under the cap.
You can tell it's going by the engine running then shutting down and when the sensor has cooled after 10 - 20 min , the car will run for a couple of km and then quit again. Total pain to do unless you have a hoist, ditch or pit.
