I have an '03 disco s (no ace) with 30k miles, and until the other day the steering was very tight with very little "play" or "give". I made a sharp turn downtown and Im not sure if I hti a bump or what but it now seems my steering is a lot looser with a lot more play. Is that possible? LR said it just wears in over time, but it seemed to happen all the suddenly and it wouldnt jsut break in at 30k. Any ideas what might be the problem or what could have happened? Thanks all.

Steering Wheel

Matt:

know exactly what you mean...I have a Series I and my steering wheel also has some "give" to it. I also looked into at the dealer and they too mentioned that the wheel does "wear" over time and there is not too much one can do about it. Every time I had a service, I ask the agent if he can adjust the wheel...sometimes it works out for the better. However, after driving your LR, you will eventually become more used to the wheel...and I do not see any difference in driving ability, which I think is the most important. :rellye

Same thing happened to my D2.. I brought it back 5 times to fix it, and each time they said there was nothing wrong... frustrating..
