Hey, putting a new stereo in the Disco. It currently has a Kenwood CD player, but it is kinda old and cheap. ANyway, I pull the old unit out and find a Soundgate Universal Radio Replacement Interface (this stereo was in the truck when I bought it). Anyway, did some googling and found that it allows you to use a new head unit to a factory system that is amplified. So my question is, do I really need this? I have done alot of reading about replacing LR factory units and never once saw mention of needing something like this. Any thoughts?
