Hello, All. The last few days I've been mulling over mods I want to plan on my '00 D2. A couple days ago I managed to find a company out of Germany that makes PTO (Power-Take-Off) units that bolt directly onto the LT230 T-Case to use engine power to drive a hydraulic pump... And that got me thinking...

I could power a big air compressor!
What about a hydraulic winch?
What if I used the pump to go full hydraulic steering?
What if I used it to rig up 4 Wheel steer?
What if I set up a Hydro-static Hybrid Drive for super-low range and regenerative braking?
I could power a big air compressor!

There's no end to the things you could do with a correctly set up system, and I figured I'd make a spit-ball thread to hash out how these things could actually come together and maybe even get some breakthroughs. Let's see it, gents!

My old 1976 series 3 had a rear mount PTO that drove my trailer axle. I used to hook it up to a bumper mounted hydraulic pump to run a cement mixer in the bush

just hit images and there were hundreds of options to run off the old landy's PTO
