Superlock System Question

Hello folks, Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I have a question re the Superlocking function of the security system. If an owner gets locked inside the Disco, is there a way of unlocking the door locks?

Yesterday, my wife was at our daughters school and on getting back in the truck, with cold hands, she somehow triggered the Superlock condition. She tried in vane for a while to 'unlock' using her key but set off the alarm each time. Fortunately she had her mobile phone with her and called me. The doors opened without a problem using the spare key in the door lock.
She was both embarrassed and concerned that if she had not had her mobile with her, she would have been well and truly stuck.

I realize that the super locking function is there for a good security reason but when it works against its owner, we have a problem. Certainly I have a problem ;-)

Is there a way of getting out of this mess should it occur again? If it can be triggered accidentally, it could certainly reoccur. I will have it deactivated if absolutely necessary but I would prefer not to if possible.

Any help sincerely appreciated. Happy Holiday.

Super locking is activated by hitting the lock on the key fob twice in 1 sec. or by the key in the door and rotating (locking twice in one sec.). I can't remember if you reverse this, the same way or not.

This feature is not active on my ride, just for this reason. you can go to a LR dealer and have it turned off, though it will cost ya some cash. not sure how much.

Thanks Bill. Yes, I saw in the owner's handbook how to activate it and my wife must have hit the key fob twice due to her hands being so cold. Now she is aware of it, albeit a bit intimidated due to her experience, she'll be very careful and carry her mobile every time! :)

I'm not inclined to fork out cash to LR though for them to deactivate it for probably under 60 seconds of labor!

I appreciate you responding Bill, cheers. John
Even when superlocked, the ignition can be turned on, and the window rolled down to access the drivers door lock cylinder, if for some reason the unlock on the remote does not work.
Superlock Feedback: Thanks

Thanks Dave. I have written these helpful comments on a post-it and placed it in the center console should she come afoul of this again!
