Hi to all rovers. I have a 99 disco 2 that surge right after the tc locks at 40 mph. It has 107000 mi. All fluids new 2k mi. ago. new p-4 plugs new magnecore wires, no codes. The surging is between 40 and 50 mph.Its like playing with the gas pedal. Is it torque converter? Need your help.

How often do you service the tranny?
Are you showing any codes? What octane gas are you running?

Strange sounds like the mass air flow sensor. but that will cause a car to run lean. but that comes with a lean code and a fourth gear monitoring code.

but what kind of fuel are you running.

surging at 40

I'm using 91 octane. and the MAF was been replace 4k mi ago. all hoses were replace late last year. It surge right after the torque converter locks at 40 mph.if i add gas a little it stop surging.it runs fine.
